Telegram enables crypto transfer through Wallet Bot 

If you are a crypto person who uses Telegram like most of us do, it is time for you to start sending crypto via Telegram chats. How? Telegram has enabled the crypto transfer of TON using its official wallet Bot. Ton Blockchain announced this on Twitter on Wednesday, 27 April.

“You can now send #Toncoin directly within Telegram chats! It’s a new way to send Toncoin without transaction fees to any Telegram user. With this service, you’ll no longer need to enter long wallet addresses and wait for confirmations,” the announcement said.

Telegram is a messaging app with over 500 million users. It has become a major platform for both formal and informal communication in most countries of the world. The app has been working with Ton Blockchain for years and now created a way for telegram users to transfer TON using its wallet bot.

With this move, the app is greatly contributing to the adoption of cryptocurrencies and helping to push it towards becoming a mainstream means of payment. Telegram has also become the first top messaging app to enable fast and easy crypto transfer through chats. 

All it takes to use the new feature is for users to download and install the Telegram wallet bot as is demonstrated in the video. They can then transfer TON to their friends, family or business partners through their chats.

For now, users can only transfer TON. This is done by clicking on the “Wallet” icon when sending direct messages. There is no need to enter any wallet address and the payments are instant with absolutely no transaction fees. 

Although the app has been working hand in hand with crypto, this is a major breakthrough and one of the greatest innovations in the crypto space in 2022. Users can now send and receive crypto payments across borders and that is a major milestone for the space.
